Reality TV star Kelly Chase is opening up about the personal challenges she faced following her experience on the hit Netflix series ‘Love Is Blind.’
The season 1 participant, who ultimately decided not to marry her Match, has revealed that she hired a mindset coach to help her navigate the aftermath of the show.
“After filming, I wasn’t in a good place mentally and emotionally,” Chase admitted in a recent interview. “The entire experience was incredibly intense, and it took a toll on me in ways I didn’t fully anticipate.”
The 32-year-old marketing executive went on to explain that the unique nature of the ‘Love Is Blind’ format, where contestants form deep connections without ever seeing each other in person, presented a unique set of obstacles.
“You’re essentially asked to make a life-altering decision about someone you’ve never even laid eyes on,” Chase said. “That kind of pressure is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before.”
Despite her connection with her Match, Chase ultimately chose not to say ‘I do’ on their wedding day, a decision she now acknowledges was the right one for her at the time.
“It was an incredibly difficult choice, but I knew in my heart that I wasn’t ready to make that kind of commitment,” she explained. “I needed time to process everything and figure out what I truly wanted.”
In the months following the show’s conclusion, Chase found herself struggling with lingering feelings of doubt, anxiety, and even depression. That’s when she made the decision to seek professional help in the form of a mindset coach.
“I knew I couldn’t move forward in a healthy way without addressing the emotional turmoil I was going through,” Chase said. “Working with a mindset coach has been instrumental in helping me regain my footing and find a sense of clarity about the entire experience.”
The coach, whose identity Chase has chosen to keep private, has guided her through various techniques and exercises aimed at reframing her perspective and cultivating a more positive, resilient mindset.
“It’s been a journey, for sure,” Chase acknowledged. “But I’m so grateful I made the decision to invest in my own well-being. It’s made all the difference in how I’ve been able to process everything and move forward in a way that feels authentic to me.”
As for her advice to future ‘Love Is Blind’ participants, Chase is emphatic about the importance of seeking support, whether it’s from a professional or a strong support network.
“The experience may be unique, but the emotional and mental toll it can take is very real,” she said. “Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s a sign of strength, not weakness.”
With a renewed sense of self-assurance and a deeper understanding of her own needs, Chase is now focused on the future, eager to share her story and inspire others who may be facing similar challenges.
